Deep South does bear this supposition out, but not in a bad way. Deep South is a new band (sort of) comprised of former members from some of the greatest Southern Rock bands to ever take the stage. They had a great time performing together and it showed in the raucious passionate set which included classics like "In hell I'll be in good company" and Gunslingers Glory" to their new song from the muscle shoals recordings. We all had to work on Sat and could not get home at 2am.
The opening bands were equally impressive.The adorable Eric aka Del Suelo had great vocals and the Hooten Hallers really rocked the yee-haw.
We arrived a bit too late to really get to hear Elliot Brood-But there was a middle band-I wish I had their name! Their second album Deep South2 was released in 1992, the band folded in 1993. The next time I see them I will have to travel... No problem.
