Almay Color & Care Lip Oil-in-Stick arrive in pretty nifty packaging. No, but again not a huge deal for me as I don’t mind re-applying throughout the day.It was really hard for me to pick favorites, because I honestly love so many of them, but Love Big, Dance Now, Treat Yourself, and Be Fearless are probably my top picks. The next ingredient is not a surprise: Ozokerite. So how the Smart Shade system work is that all the lip colors are divided into skintone categories and shade categories. The matte colors aren’t true mattes – they don’t dry down and I do feel as though they are just more opaque creams vs full on mattes. As a whole, all the colors are nice and pigmented, with the exception of a couple of the lighter shades.The one thing I do want to point out with this collection is there isn’t a huge difference between the cream formula and the matte formula. It’s great to know the fact that the lipsticks do not dry out your lips, especially in this winter weather!Man, I really haven’t used Almay products in awhile either but they’re always pretty good! I haven’t yet worn the shimmer coats but every shade I’ve worn so far I’ve LOVED.These are flipping ADORABLE and beautiful shades, Be Strong and Worry Less are my favs. I have here swatches of all the shades for "light" skin tone. They also faded off nicely during the day to a stain-type finish, and I was able to reapply as needed.
Love the names and colors too and the shimmer coats are so fun for a night out! While not a HUGE concern, there have been studies that have shown this product to be a respiratory toxin if inhaled. The lipsticks feature a very simple colored bullet (that matches the shade) with a clear cap. I would be quite interested in trying some of the shades designed for darker skin tones as well.

It isn’t kiss-proof, and it doesn’t claim to be, so as long as that doesn’t bother you, it’s a nice opaque, matte formula. There is a combination of matte, cream and lip-toppers, so be sure to take a look to see which formula you’re putting on. There are a lot of differences in these formulas because unlike eyeshadow, lipstick formulas do, in fact, enter your mouths and have more rigorous testing standards according to the FDA.The main ingredient in the list is Isononyl Isononanoate.
This is a brand new formula from Almay, a super affordable drugstore brand.
Definitely a hit for me! I enjoyed how the color made an impact with two or three swipes (MOST of the time – I had to work a little harder on the more sheer creams) – it has a nice glide to it, and the cream colors are really slippy (which I like) without feathering into the lines around my mouth.
Almay … Pigmentation wise it's very similar.
