The problem for me in this deck is that I need to be able to pay 2 mana every turn (usually 3 because I want to pay for trail of crumbs) so golden egg doesn’t actually work until turns 4-5. [[Witch's Oven]] asks you if you're sure you want to target it on one of your creatures every single time because I guess Arena thinks you don't typically want to use abilities on your own creatures that will kill those creatures, so it triggers the same "hmm looks weird better check with the player" prompt that happens when you, e.g., Cast Down a Phoenix or something.

Turning a griffon into a food then back into a griffon isn't that amazing on its own but if you have other triggers it can get pretty mental. I built this for the artisan event, and it’s been performing fine in there, however I feel like the deck could go a step further. Here’s the deck list: 4 [[selfless savior]] 4 [[witch’s oven]] 4 [[griffin aerie]] 4 [[trail of crumbs]] 4 [[silversmote ghoul]] 4 [[indulging patrician]] 4 … This means adding a hefty cost to activate the abilities of Witch’s Oven and Cauldron Familiar themselves, as well as things like activating Food Tokens, Gilded Goose and Wicked Wolf should it come up.
