I really don't like the similarity to the word "evangelize" and it just seems like a hyper-religious name. Evie and Eva would be cute, but Evly would be a more unexpected option. I'm glad I've had positive responses. I used it for a character in my story (full name Evangeline Rose Delaney nn Eve).Love the meaning and the name! As one of the greater successes of famed mage Nagi Springfield, Evangeline is reflected to have grudges against her teacher for being his son, leading to their initial confrontations. She loves that she's able to recognize, spell, and even type her name (E-V-I-E) easily, and adults seem charmed to meet a toddler with a sweet retro nickname. I don't like Evangelyn.because there should be an -ine instead of an -yn thats why.I've never heard this name before is it pronounced (evan-j-line) ? After knocking Negi away, Evangeline began to use her own Magia Erebea. I never thought this name would become popular. Similarly, she is one of the few fully Caucasian characters, besides the teacher.
Anyone blessed with this name, should be proud of it. Anyway, I think it's a keeper!I think Evangeline is one of the most versatile names to go with any nickname.I have a little cousin named Evangeline but they call her by her middle name Starr. She gets Evie for short. After their initial confrontations, Evangeline's character changes towards a parallel teacher to the teacher, contrasting his caring ways with her taskmaster, tough love approach in order to allow for some assistance towards the ultimate goal of finding Negi's father. Meanings Greek Baby Names Meaning: In Greek Baby Names the meaning of the name Evangeline is: Good news, bringer of good news.
10 years (physically); over 700 years (chronologically); random years (mentally) She is in the Go and Tea Ceremony clubs, out of enjoyment. (I like the song Ray sings to Evangeline too )I normally prefer short names that can't be shortened, but Evangeline is an exception to my usual taste.

Negi tries to stop her, but it shows futile as Evangeline already powered up to her Magia Erebea form, She, like the rest of the class, assisted Negi in saving Nagi and defeating the Mage of the Beginning.
Otherwise I would use it.I chose the name Evangeline for my second child, however, I never got to use it as I had a boy! Finally, they both come from the magic world with some past connection to the Thousand Master. Angel would be an unexpected nickname.Interestingly enough, the Princess and the Frog reference is in itself a reference to Longfellow's poem :)Evangeline also was made popular again thanks to Disney's movie the Princess and the frog .Evangeline is my daughter's middle name.
She rarely says much in class, and anything she says tends to lean towards being evil. Her nails are initially purplish-white, purple in her adult form, but later they are the correct color of blood red. She developed her magical powers in order to get revenge on the man who turned her, whom she killed. People often exclaim, "Wow, what a beautiful name." It is interesting to note that in this series her eyes are green but in all other medias her eyes are blue. Other people look totally confused - like I just told them my beautiful daughters name was Plutoarabica or something totally random. Iv'e only met one. She is 10 months old now and I still regret not making it her first name :o(I gave a character this name, with the nickname Eline.I still don't get why people love this name! She was initially forced to lead an itinerant life since she could not hide the fact that her body no longer aged, though later she uses magic to disguise herself as an adult. It does have religious connotations though so I personally wouldn’t use it. It's a beautiful name; feminine, classy, timeless and almost ethereal. Lovely.I have mixed feelings about Evangeline. She’s a front runner for a future daughter and my partner loves it so that’s a massive plus!
