Not so venally stupid as its predecessor. Considering how long these movies kept going and how many of them there were, it's strange that only this one had everything in its proper place. Some rather amusing crap, actually. while Trish repeatedly yells out his name. The film opens to a joint police and paramedic operation at Crystal Lake's Higgins Haven property, as the bodies of several teenagers are placed on ambulances after a massacre the following evening. After being mortally wounded and taken to the morgue, murderer Jason Voorhees spontaneously revives and embarks on a killing spree as he makes his way back to his home at Camp Crystal Lake. Original Score: 2/5
It was originally set to be released in October 1984, but Frank Mancuso, Sr. pushed the release date to April 13, leaving them 6 weeks to complete post-production. Ron Kurz (based upon characters created by), Friday 13th 1-3 I considered to be generic camp slashers which didn't live up to the iconic legacy that the franchise has built up. While Friday part 5 would suffer the same fate with fans as H3, part 4 has quite a bit going for it. Though it was billed as "The Final Chapter", there have been further sequels in the franchise due to the success of the film.
